Scrintal

Note-taking apps are evolving, and Scrintal is leading the way. Combining whiteboards, boards, and connected notes in one sleek package, it has an exciting vision and design that’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Capacities

Capacities has the potential to address the structural issues Notion hasn’t been able to solve, using object-based note connections. With the right investment in AI and object-based thinking, it could either soar or be acquired by Notion this year.

Morgen

I was skeptical about Morgen at first, but over the past year, they’ve really stepped up their calendar innovation. One of the most exciting developments in the calendar space right now.

Anytype

Like AFFiNE, Anytype has the potential to become a go-to note-taking app. With its open-source nature, minimalist design, and functionalities similar to Scrintal, it’s definitely one to watch for the future.

Akiflow

Akiflow had a stellar 2024, and 2025 looks even brighter. With the new Outlook integration, it’s becoming a powerful task dashboard. This app is one to watch in 2025.

Mayday

Mayday aims to be your AI assistant for tasks and calendars, and it’s one of the best implementations I’ve seen in this space. It worked exceptionally well in our reviews and tests, and it’s definitely on my radar for 2024.
